The mechanical damper door is stuck wide open, dumping freezer air into the fridge. I check the thermistor sensors. If they read fine, I replace the motorized damper assembly so it closes properly.

The defrost drain tube froze solid, overflowing the drip pan into the fridge. I use hot water to melt the blockage deep in the line and clean the drain valve so gravity takes the water out.

Stripped gears inside the ice maker module, or a burnt water inlet valve. I run a forced manual cycle. If power reaches the valve but no water comes out, I swap the dual-solenoid valve at the back.

The condenser fan bearings next to the compressor have dried out and seized. I check the amp draw on the fan. If it's struggling, I cut it out and wire in a sealed OEM condenser fan motor.

The main control board failed to send power to the heater, or the heater itself broke. I do a forced defrost. If the board clicks but there's no heat, I locate the open circuit and replace the faulty element.

A totally saturated water filter or a failing water inlet valve. I put a bypass plug in. If it's still slow, the primary inlet valve is calcified and I replace the entire housing.

Massive dust blockages on the condenser coils, or a micro-freon leak. I deep clean the coils first. If it still runs non-stop without getting cold, we have a sealed system leak.
